What sort of training and developmental opportunities does Altium provide its graduates?

When you first commence employment with Altium, you may be given a mix of formal and "on-the-job" training, depending on your role. After your initial training, development will primarily happen on-the-job as you work alongside more senior members of your team, learning and sharing in their skills and expertise. We aim to develop our graduates on-the-job by providing them with challenges to stretch their skills, but at the same time we ensure there is support from more experienced members of the team.

What opportunities for advancement does Altium offer?

Altium is proud of the fact that it can offer fulfilling careers to people who wish to climb as high as they can. At Altium advancement is based on merit, not seniority, and as we continue to grow there are excellent opportunities for graduates who prove their talents.

Unlike many companies, Altium does not limit the careers of their technical people by only offering managerial roles once people reach a certain level. For those who are looking to combine their technical skills with their managerial abilities, Altium also offers a variety of opportunities.

Where would I be working? Are there any opportunities for travel?

At present, most graduate positions will be located at our Corporate Head Office in Sydney, Australia. However, there are opportunities at other Altium offices. As the business expands and gains a greater presence in overseas markets, there may be possibilities for overseas travel in the future.

What is Altium's graduate selection process?

The selection process for our graduate positions is quite rigorous as we place great importance on selecting the right individuals for both their functional expertise and their "cultural fit" with the company. The graduate selection process commences with an initial screen of all applicants. Candidates who are successful at this stage of the selection process will then be invited to participate in an interview process, usually consisting of 2 to 3 stages. Applicants for Software Development positions would also be asked to complete a technical problem-solving test.

All applicants will be advised of the status of their application.
