Users can now copy and paste from Excel (or any other Windows clipboard source) directly onto a schematic sheet.

This gives the user the ability to open a spreadsheet, select and copy a region and then paste the information into a schematic sheet. All layout and formatting applied to the spreadsheet is retained, greatly improving the quality of documentation generated from the system.

The data in the Windows clipboard can be either in Metafile format (to keep graphical information as in the Excel case) or plain text, in which case the data can be placed into notes or text-frames or any other relevant object type (using the new Dynamic Paste system).

All Altium Designer grid controls have also been upgraded to provide a windows metafile 'copy' to the clipboard. This allows the state of any grid control to be copied and then pasted directly onto a schematic sheet.
