Developing the future leaders of the Australian Defence Force is all in a day’s work for the Australian Defence Force Academy (UNSW@ADFA). It provides its students with a solid grounding both academically and in the practical skills they need to command our troops out in the field. Final year students in UNSW@ADFA’s School of Aeronautical, Civil and Mechanical Engineering use Altium Designer to carry out demanding projects targeted at defence applications, such as the creation of an unmanned miniature helicopter for military and surveillance tasks. Altium Designer allows the students to push the boundaries of defence technology and create sophisticated electronic systems faster than ever before.
