Per our conversation - I wanted to share with you our thoughts on why we selected Altium Designer for our PCB design tool set.
When those of us here at HepaHope put together our criteria for choosing a design tool, we developed and sent out a checklist identifying our needs to the major vendors and asked that they respond with regard to their current product offering.
Altium was the only vendor that could meet all of our requirements. A representative from one of the other key players offering a PCB design tools told us "We cannot give you a complete integrated package to do Schematic capture, PCB layout, and FPGA development. However, we can sell you or help you select the individual components and then work with you to integrate it all together".
Altium Designer not only meets our requirements but they offer a single complete integrated package for what the other vendors were charging for a single component.
The choice was easy; Altium Designer.
