Since 1983, Australian company Imaxeon has been manufacturing and distributing contrast injection systems to assist medical imagery equipment such as CT scanners and X-rays. Used to visualize veins in various parts of the body, CT injectors help to uncover aneurysms and other serious diseases and conditions that affect blood flow. Its innovative designs are well regarded within the field, with its work being formally recognized in 1996 when it was awarded an Australian Design Award and a Powerhouse Museum Award for the PJ3 CT injector. Imaxeon continues to innovate using Altium Designer. Its newer range of battery operated CT and Angiography injectors are well renowned for being the first and only of their kind available in the world.
