TASKING Extends its Reach into Embedded CommunicationsNew International Sales Directors Accelerate and Manage
Rapid Growth
Dedham, MA, July 28, 2000 — TASKING, The
Embedded Communications Company, has expanded its
international sales leadership team to maximize and extend TASKING's
reach in the embedded communications sector. With the explosive
growth of Internet and communications-related applications, more
companies are faced with the challenge of providing data and voice
transmission as well as network connectivity. TASKING recognizes
this need and is leveraging its DSP expertise as well as its
intimate knowledge of embedded microcontrollers and microprocessors
to satisfy industry demand for embedded communications and Internet
connectivity. Director of Sales Peter Sanders and Director of Sales
and Marketing Toshihiro Tada will improve TASKING's penetration in
the Benelux and Japan and the Pacific Rim regions, respectively,
ensuring that TASKING enjoys the double-digit growth that the
embedded communications sector is expected to achieve over the next
few years.
"As the lines between communications,
consumer electronics and embedded computing come together,
accounting for approximately two-thirds of the embedded computing
market, we are positioning TASKING at the convergence point,"
says President and COO Scott Taitel. "We believe that the
new members of our international sales team will augment our
leadership position in providing developers with communications and
Internet solutions whether it be through embedded software,
technology or services."
TASKING's current sales force welcomes the wealth
of experience the new team members offer:
Peter Sanders, Director of Sales, offers a
powerful, results-driven determination that promises strong
sales growth for TASKING. In a previous position, Sanders
managed a sales team that grew IT solutions to
telecommunications companies from $15 million to $30 million in
just three years. Sanders' experience selling teleco products,
services and systems integration will boost sales in the areas
Sanders is responsible for, including Benelux (Belgium,
Netherlands and Luxemburg), UK, France, Scandanavia, India,
Indonesia and South Africa.
Toshihiro Tada, Director of Sales and
Marketing, brings strong marketing and business development
experience to TASKING. While specializing in communications at
Philips Semiconductor with key accounts such as Sharp,
Matsushita Communication Industries, Alps and Mitsubishi
Electric, Tada gained the strategic insight TASKING needs as it
moves forward in its commitment to penetrate Asia's embedded
communications market. Tada will use the same determination and
ingenuity that won the project he led at Philips Semiconductors
the Minister of International Trade and Industry Award from
INSEC International Semiconductors to focus TASKING sales in
Korea, Singapore, China, Taiwan and Japan-all areas exploding
with demand for embedded communications.
TASKING continues to actively recruit additional
senior sales talent for other geographic regions, including Germany.
A Comprehensive Reach into Embedded
Communications "With this all-out effort to deliver premier embedded
communications technology, TASKING raises the standard for what a
software company can provide," says Taitel. "Our
worldwide sales force is backed by a company that delivers
high-quality, off-the-shelf software development tools tightly
integrated with real-time operating systems, communications
protocols, embedded Internet software, application services and
worldwide support for deployment, integration and testing of
software components."
