Step 1:
To begin the install process, simply insert the Altium Designer Software Installation DVD into your computer's DVD ROM drive. The Installation Wizard will automatically start. Select “Install Altium Designer” and it will guide you through the installation process. If the Installation Wizard does not start automatically, run Setup.exe located in the Setup directory on the program DVD.
Note: If you have a previous version of Altium Designer installed on your computer, you may be prompted to uninstall it prior to continuing with the installation. If you are required to do this, use Add and Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel. We recommend you backup any important information in the Altium Designer installation directory prior to uninstalling.
Step 2:
To begin the installation click Next. The 'License Agreement' screen will now appear. You must accept the End-User License Agreement (EULA) in order to proceed.

Step 3:
Once you have accepted the EULA, click Next to continue. You will be asked to enter your full name and organization name in order to personalize your installation.
Step 4:
Select the folder where you wish to install the files for Altium Designer. Click Next to continue.
Note: The default Destination Folder will vary according to the release that you are installing.
Step 5:
The Board-Level Libraries screen will now appear. The “Install Board-Level Libraries” checkbox is automatically selected by default to install these integrated libraries.
You can choose to not install Board-Level Libraries by unselecting the checkbox. Board-Level Libraries can be installed at a later date by navigating to the Board Level Libraries folder in the Setup directory on the program DVD. Double click on the Setup.exe file to launch the Board-Level Libraries installer.
Click Next to continue.
Step 6:
The 'Ready to Install the Application' screen will appear (not illustrated). Click Next again and the installation will begin.
The following screen will appear when Altium Designer has been successfully installed.
