  • Application Engineers - San Diego

    If you would like to contribute to this dynamic and innovative environment our US Sales & Support office is looking for Application Engineers to join our team. Working in conjunction with Altium’s sales team, Application Engineers are the technical experts who interface with potential customers and help to accelerate the closing process during the customer’s evaluation period. Responsibilities will focus on generating sales through product demonstrations via Web Demos and supporting our account managers on phone calls with customers.

    You will also be responsible for conducting training for existing customers, providing post sales support as needed to maintain customer satisfaction in existing customer accounts, writing knowledge based articles and application notes for Altium products, and performing product testing during beta stages. You will articulate the value of Altium’s software solutions in a wide range of scenarios, taking advantage of your engineering and communication skills.

    We are looking for candidates with customer support experience, a solid understanding of electronic design software, FPGA/CPLD or embedded software experience and preferably a Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience. Extensive customer contact is required so you must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the desire to work in a fast paced environment, and passion and enthusiasm about the Altium products.   • Field Application Engineers - Central Region

    We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Field Application Engineers for the Central regions to provide technical assistance to Outside Sales & Senior Outside Sales s, Account Managers and Application Engineers for that region. The expectation is the delivery of revenue targets and the implementation of Altium’s business objectives.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Provide technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, trade shows and seminars.
    • Establish and manage technical relationships with customers, partners and industry leaders.
    • Serve as the lead for RFP’s and customer proposals.
    • Reduce sales cycle by helping Account Managers to drive the sales process with strategic accounts.
    • Expand region’s pipeline within targeted accounts.
    • Provide second level support for new Field Application Engineers and Application Engineers as needed.
    • Work with management to ensure the efficient collection and analysis of customer information and market data while ensuring effective communication of the requested information to management.
    • Participate in strategic and tactical planning as related to the region, and the driving and closing of business.
