  • Application Engineer

    The Application Engineer (AE) is responsible for ensuring customers and prospects are being adequately supported and that their expectations are continually being exceeded by providing professional, high quality and proactive technical services (technical advice and assistance, product demonstrations and training).

    Responsibilities include:

    • Taking ownership and working support cases (post and pre-sales) and ensuring the cases are being worked in the correct priority order and resolved in a timely manner.
    • Conducting Altium Designer pre-sales web based demonstrations (public and private) and face-to-face demonstrations.
    • Delivering public and private training classes.
    • Contributing to product localisation initiatives.

    Requirements include:

    • Electronic Engineering qualification (preferred).
    • 5+ years experience technical experience.
    • Experience in a customer support/service environment (preferred)
    • Knowledge of the electronics industry including familiarity with key issues, design processes and products
    • Knowledge of PCB design, FPGA design, system design and/or embedded software development

  • Channel Support Manager

    This position is to support the Channel Director to achieve an agreed revenue target by identifying and gaining business from the VAR Channel in China. This role will assist the development and execution of resellers business plans which include sales, marketing and support plans.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Achieve assigned Channel sales targets from VARs.
    • Promote positive and open communications between Sales and all other Altium functions that allows unimpeded progress toward corporate goals.
    • Provide direction to Resellers.
    • Understand each individual VAR pipeline and support VAR conversion of opportunities to sales.
    • Partner with VAR Account Managers within high revenue and difficult Customers.
    • Support the development of reseller business plans and monitor the sound execution of these.

    To be considered for this opportunity you will hold a Bachelor’s Degree and have gained a minimum of 5 years experience within a technical sales environment with a minimal of 3 years experience in a Channel Management position. Your knowledge will include in-depth knowledge of softwares sales (or similar technical products) within the Reseller environment. Ideally you will have an understanding of EDA and/or embedded development business. Proficiency in English and Mandarin (written and conversational) is a must.

  • Field Application Engineer

    The Field Application Engineer (FAE) is responsible for generating revenue growth by providing technical assistance to Channel Partners, their Account Managers, technical staff and designated end-user customers.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Provide technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, trade shows and seminars.
    • Assist sales in technical development of programs, materials and sales strategy.
    • Serve as the technical lead for large-scale customer proposals.
    • Help Channel Partners establish and manage technical relationships with large customer accounts.
    • Develop pre-sales training materials and co-develop sales programs.
    • Provide post sales technical support and training to Channel Partner accounts.
    • Provide second level support for new Channel Partners, their Account Managers and technical staff.
    • Assist in the development of written materials including technical notes, knowledge base articles and product training materials.

    To be considered for this role you will hold an Electronic Engineering qualification (or equivalent experience), and will have 5 years experience in a high technical/pre-sales support role. In addition you will have gained knowledge of the electronics industry including familiarity with key issues, design process and products, knowledge of PCB and FPGA design, system design and or/embedded software development. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate a fundamental understanding on Strategic Sales approach. Proficiency in English and Mandarin (written and conversational) is a must.

  • License Compliance Specialist

    The License Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting Altium’s sales revenue growth by executing China License Compliance (LC) programs with our resellers and handling LC related issues when needed under the guidance of the LC Manager.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Executing China LC program together with related resellers sales & LC team.
    • Calling prospects together with resellers to identify target customers.
    • Working with resellers to turn prospects into customers.
    • Meet customer with resellers to solve LC issues.
    • Help negotiate with users on copyright issues.
    • Work with law firms to help push deals through with resellers.
    • Provide support and advice to resellers in their sales activities as related to LC issues.

    To be considered for this opportunity you will ideally hold a BA Degree and have gained a minimum of 1 years working experience in license compliance gained within a China based multinational software company.
