Altium appoints new Chairman
Sydney, Australia – 8 October, 2007 – Altium Limited (ASX:ALU), the electronics design industry’s leading developer of unified electronic product development solutions, today announces the appointment of Samuel S. Weiss as Non-Executive Chairman of Altium’s Board of Directors.
Sam Weiss replaces Carl Rooke as Chairman following Carl’s announcement to retire the chair position after seven years. Carl will continue in his position of non-executive director for the board and as a member of the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees.
Sam was appointed to Altium’s Board on 1 January 2007 and currently serves on the boards of Oroton Group Ltd, GLG Corp Ltd, IPGA Ltd, the Benevolent Society and The Sydney Festival. Sam previously was the non-executive Chairman of Oroton Group and brings valuable business experience from his former roles as Vice President, Asia-Pacific, Gateway Computers and COO for Nike Europe.
