Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Georgia Institute of Technology are working towards one of the ultimate goals of the 21st Century – human missions to planet Mars. The student project, the only research project of its kind in the world, will look at the effects of Mars-level gravity on the health of mammals. Students at MIT are using Altium Designer to design and build the life support and data acquisition systems for the revolutionary biosatellite that will perform this ground-breaking research.
"We first chose Altium Designer primarily for its easy upgrade path from P-CAD, but have since discovered the remarkable capabilities of the Altium Designer unified design environment. This powerful design system has positively impacted our ability to complete projects on time and on budget. MIT students who use Altium Designer learn new skills that will prove to be very useful in their future careers."
