Responsible for Creating Technical Vision and Growing Company Product Portfolio

Dedham, MA, January 19, 2001 — TASKING, The Embedded Communications Company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Julian Horn as TASKING's Chief Technology Officer. Over the past year, TASKING has significantly grown its embedded software development solutions by bringing together the software technology needed to compete in the embedded communications era. "Julian brings to TASKING extensive experience as a technical visionary responsible for cross development tools and eCommerce technology," states Scott Taitel, TASKING's President and COO. "Working closely with our worldwide Marketing and Engineering management, I am confident that Julian will integrate new and emerging technologies into our technology and product portfolio, accelerating the significant growth that TASKING has experienced over the past year."

Julian Horn brings to TASKING more than twenty-four years of senior technology development and direction at Intermetrics, a software development company specializing in complex critical systems. Over the course of his career, Horn directed Intermetrics through the technical transition from a highly specialized custom tool developer for customers such as NASA and JPL to one offering high-level language software development tools. Following the purchase of Intermetrics by AverStar Group, Julian served as Chief Scientist, leading the company's transition into distributed systems and eCommerce applications. Horn holds a BS in Mathematics from MIT and a PhD in Mathematics from Stanford.
