This document is no longer available beyond version 4. Information can now be found here: Graphic Properties for version 5

Applies to NEXUS Client version: 4

This documentation page references Altium NEXUS/NEXUS Client (part of the deployed NEXUS solution), which has been discontinued. All your PCB design, data management and collaboration needs can now be delivered by Altium Designer and a connected Altium 365 Workspace. Check out the FAQs page for more information.

Select a Graphic object in the Draftsman design space to view or edit its property fields in the Properties panel.

Draftsman object properties are definable options that specify the visual style, content and behavior of the placed object. The property settings for each type of object are defined in two different ways:

  • Pre-placement settings – most Graphic object properties, or those that can logically be pre-defined, are available as editable default settings on the Draftsman - Defaults page of the Preferences dialog (access from the  button at the top-right of the design space). Select the object in the Primitive List to reveal its options on the right.
  • Post-placement settings – all Graphic object properties are available for editing in the Properties panel when a placed Graphic is selected in the design space.

The below properties listing applies to the options available in both the Preferences dialog and the object Properties panel.

Location

  • (X/Y) – the X-axis and Y-axis values of the Graphic container's reference location (bottom-left corner position).
  • Rotation – the rotation angle of the object, i.e. the displayed image.

Properties

  • Width – the width of the selected Graphic object.
  • Height – the height of the selected Graphic object.
  • Maintain Aspect Ratio – when checked, the X/Y dimensions of the Graphic container will scale in proportion to the aspect ratio of the source image. The source image will always fill the Graphic container.
