Summary

Design rules can be imported to the Rules Editor. This allows you to load favorite rule definitions between different designs. This command is used to load a PCB Rule File (*.rul).

Access

This command can be accessed from the Rules Editor by:

Choosing File » Import From File from the main menus.
Right-clicking on a rule and selecting Import From File from the menu.

Use

After launching the command, the Import File dialog will open, where you may select the desired PCB Rule File (*.rul) then click Open. The Choose Design Rule Type dialog will open, which allows you to choose the design rule(s) to import.
