The following pre-packaged resources, derived from this base command, are available:
Applied Parameters: None
This command is used to change the view of the board (or component) in 3D so that you are looking straight down from above (perpendicular), with zero rotation.
This command is accessed from the PCB Editor and the PCB Library Editor in 3D Layout Mode by:
After launching the command, the 3D view will be changed, if necessary, so that you are viewing the board from above and with no rotation.
30°
500mils
12.7mm
Applied Parameters: To=Rotate90
This command is used to change the view of the board (or component) in 3D so that you are looking straight down from above (perpendicular) with 90 degrees (clockwise) rotation in the X-plane.
After launching the command, the 3D view will be changed, if necessary, so that you are viewing the board from above and with 90 degrees (clockwise) rotation in the X-plane.
Applied Parameters: To=RotateOrtho
This command is used to change the view of the board (or component) in 3D so that you are looking at the board from an orthogonal perspective.
After launching the command, the 3D view will be changed, if necessary, so that you are viewing the board from an orthogonal perspective (looking from above, and from the left).
This command is used to change the view of the board (or component) in 3D so that you are looking at the board from an isometric perspective.
After launching the command, the 3D view will be changed, if necessary, so that you are viewing the board from an isometric perspective.
Applied Parameters: To=Top
This command is used to change the view of the board (or component) in 3D so that you are looking at the board's entire top side.
After launching the command, the 3D view will be changed, if necessary, so that you are viewing the entire board from the top.
Applied Parameters: To=Bottom
This command is used to change the view of the board (or component) in 3D so that you are looking at the board's entire bottom side.
After launching the command, the 3D view will be changed, if necessary, so that you are viewing the entire board from the bottom.
Applied Parameters: To=Front
This command is used to change the view of the board (or component) in 3D so that you are looking directly at its front side.
After launching the command, the 3D view will be changed, if necessary, so that you are viewing the front side of the board.
Applied Parameters: To=Back
This command is used to change the view of the board (or component) in 3D so that you are looking directly at its back side.
After launching the command, the 3D view will be changed, if necessary, so that you are viewing the back side of the board.
Applied Parameters: To=Left
This command is used to change the view of the board (or component) in 3D so that you are looking directly at its left edge.
After launching the command, the 3D view will be changed, if necessary, so that you are viewing the left edge of the board.
Applied Parameters: To=Right
This command is used to change the view of the board (or component) in 3D so that you are looking directly at its right edge.
After launching the command, the 3D view will be changed, if necessary, so that you are viewing the right edge of the board.
Applied Parameters: To=ISOMETRIC
This command is used to change the view of the board (or component) in 3D so that you are looking at a flipped isometric view.
After launching the command, the 3D view will be changed so that you are viewing the flipped isometric view.
In addition, you can use the applicable drop-down field on the PCB Standard toolbar (PCB Editor) or the PCB Lib Standard toolbar (PCB Library Editor) to quickly choose from a set of predefined 3D views when viewing your board (or library components) in 3D.
