Rename Folder

Summary

This command is used to rename the currently selected folder in the local copy of a checked-out project under version control.

Access

This command can be accessed from the Folders region of the Storage Manager panel with the required folder selected by:

Right-clicking and choosing the Rename command from the context menu.
Using the F2 keyboard shortcut.

Use

Ensure the folder that you want to rename is selected in the Folders region of the Storage Manager panel.

After launching the command, enter the new name for the folder as required and either press Enter or click away from the folder. The name will be changed.

Tips

The folder in the version control repository is not touched - only the local folder for that particular checked-out instance of the project is renamed.
The root folder cannot be renamed.
