Jump to Origin

Applied Parameters: Origin=TRUE

Summary

This command is used to move the cursor to the absolute origin coordinate (0,0) for the current document. The abosulte origin point corresponds to the bottom-left corner of the schematic sheet.

Access

This command can be accessed from the Schematic Editor, and Schematic Library Editor, by:

Choosing the Edit » Jump » Origin command from the main menus.
Using the Ctrl+Home keyboard shortcut.
Within the main design workspace, pressing the J key, then choosing Origin from the subsequent pop-up menu (or using the J, O keyboard sequence).

Use

After launching the command, the cursor will jump to the absolute origin for the document (coordinate 0,0). The coordinate will be zoomed and centered (where possible) in the main design window.

Jump to New Location

Applied Parameters: NewLocation=TRUE

Summary

This command is used to conveniently move the cursor to any location within the current document, based on user-specified XY coordinates.

Access

This command can be accessed from the Schematic Editor, and Schematic Library Editor, by:

Choosing the Edit » Jump » New Location command from the main menus.
Within the main design workspace, pressing the J key, then choosing New Location from the subsequent pop-up menu (or using the J, L keyboard sequence).

Use

After launching the command, the Jump To Location dialog will appear. Enter values for the X and Y coordinates within the workspace, for the location you wish the cursor to jump to. After clicking OK, the cursor will be moved to the specified coordinate, and the coordinate will be zoomed and centered (where possible) within the main design window.

Jump to Location Mark n

Applied Parameters: LocationMark=n (where n is in the range 1 to 10)

Summary

This command is used to jump to a position in the current document, whose coordinates have been previously stored in the indicated location marker.

Access

This command can be accessed from the Schematic Editor by:

Choosing the Edit » Jump » Location Marks » n command, from the main menus.
Within the main design workspace, pressing the J key, then choosing Location Marks » n from the subsequent pop-up menu (or using the J, M, n keyboard sequence - where n = 0 for location mark 10).

Use

After launching the command, the cursor will jump to the position that has been stored in the indicated location marker, becoming centered (where possible) in the main design window.

Tips

If no location has been stored in a marker, the cursor will remain at the current location.
A stored location - stored using the Edit » Jump » Location Marks » n command - is only available while the schematic document remains open (active or not). If the document is closed and opened again, the location marker will be empty.
