Format Y Axis

Summary

This command is used to access the Y Axis Settings dialog, from where you can define properties for the selected Y-axis.

Access

This command can be accessed from the SimData Editor by:

Choosing the Plot » Format Y Axis command from the main menus.
Right-clicking on the Y Axis and choosing the Format Axis command from the context menu.

Use

If multiple Y-axes exist, first ensure that the one you wish to format is selected (by clicking on it).

After launching the command, the Y Axis Settings dialog appears. Use the dialog to define a label and units for the axis, and also to set up the scaling as required.

Tips

The Number of Plots Visible option in the Document Options dialog (Tools » Document Options) should be set to anything but All, in order to view, select, and ultimately format, a Y-axis.
