The following pre-packaged resources, derived from this base command, are available:
Applied Parameters: Location=Pin1
This command is used to set the component reference point to be pin 1 of the component footprint.
This command is accessed from the PCB Library Editor by choosing the Edit » Set Reference » Pin 1 command from the main menus.
First, ensure that the component that you wish to set the reference for is selected in the Components list in the PCB Library panel (and is therefore the active component in the main design window).
After launching the command, the reference point will be set to pin 1 of the footprint and this point will be set to 0,0 - it becomes the new relative origin and all primitives will have their locations updated relative to this point.
Applied Parameters: Location=Center
This command is used to set the component reference point to be the center of the component footprint.
This command is accessed from the PCB Library Editor by choosing the Edit » Set Reference » Center command from the main menus.
After launching the command, the reference point will be set to the center of the footprint and this point will be set to 0,0 - it becomes the new relative origin and all primitives will have their locations updated relative to this point.
Applied Parameters: None
This command is used to set the component reference point to a user-defined location.
This command is accessed from the PCB Library Editor by choosing the Edit » Set Reference » Location command from the main menus.
After launching the command, the cursor will change to a cross-hair and you will be prompted to select a new relative origin. Position the cursor at the point you wish to make the reference then click or press Enter. This point will be set to 0,0 - it becomes the new relative origin and all primitives will have their locations updated relative to this point.
