Extract Netlist

Applied Parameters: None

Summary

This command is used to extract the netlist from the Gerber information in the current document.

Access

This command is accessed from the CAMtastic Editor by choosing the Tools » Netlist » Extract command from the main menus.

Use

After launching the command, the netlist information will be extracted, and a list of nets will appear on the Nets tab of the CAMtastic panel.

Tips

Each net is listed in terms of its total length. Clicking on any net entry in the panel will cause the net to be selected and zoomed in the main design workspace.
The nets extracted are given arbitrary names. To assign meaningful net names, as defined in the PCB design, ensure that the relative IPC-D-356 formatted netlist is loaded, and use the Rename Nets command.
