The following pre-packaged resources, derived from this base command, are available:
Applied Parameters: None
This command is used to displace or 'shove' components that are overlapping or require to be aligned in a particular fashion.
This command is accessed from the PCB Editor by choosing the Tools » Component Placement » Shove command, from the main menus.
After launching the command, the cursor will change to a cross-hair and you will enter shove mode. Position the cursor over a component and click, or press Enter. The surrounding components will be 'shoved' a distance according to the shove depth, defined in the Shove Depth (1..1000) dialog.
Continue shoving further components, or right-click, or press Esc, to exit shove mode.
Applied Parameters: Method = SetShoveDepth
This command is used to access the Shove Depth (1..1000) dialog, from where you can specify a value to be used when shoving components.
This command is accessed from the PCB Editor by choosing the Tools » Component Placement » Set Shove Depth command, from the main menus.
After launching the command, the Shove Depth (1..1000) dialog appears. Use the dialog to set a value for the distance that components are 'shoved', when using the shove feature. After clicking OK, the specified depth will be persistent - available across PCB documents, and sessions of Altium Designer.
