Summary

This feature is used to refresh the active Component Library document. This is useful if, for any reason, you have lost connection with the target Altium Vault. It ensures model links are refreshed, and also if the CmpLib is referencing a Component Template, it allows the data defined in that template to be brought in again - great if you have inadvertedly cleared content from read-only cells!

Access

This command can be accessed from the Component Library Editor by:

Choosing the Edit » Refresh command from the main menus.
Clicking the button on the Component Library Standard toolbar.
Right-clicking within the definitions region of the Component Library, and choosing the Refresh command from the context menu.
Using the F5 keyboard shortcut.

The command only becomes available provided the Undo command has been used.

Use

After launching the command, the document will be refreshed.

Tips

Any parametric data in a referenced Component Template will be brought back into the document, but only if an applicable cell in the CmpLib is detected as being empty. If a cell is populated, or a change to the default had been made, the template default will not be used and no overwriting will occur.
