Summary

This command is used to open the selected VCS revision of the document currently selected in the Project Files region of the Storage Manager panel in the main design window.

Access

This command can be accessed from the VCS Revisions region of the Storage Manager panel when presented in its Classic View with a revision of the document selected, by:

Right-clicking and choosing the Open command from the context menu.
Using the Enter keyboard shortcut.

The command will not be available if more than one revision of the document is selected.

If the panel is currently configured in Combined View (showing a timeline for the history of activity for the selected document in the Project Files region), right-click anywhere in the region and choose the Switch to Classic View command from the context menu. You will then be able to see and access the VCS Revisions region.

Use

Ensure the document whose revisions you want to view is selected in the Project Files region of the Storage Manager panel. Then, in the VCS Revisions region of the panel, select the revision you wish to open.

After launching the command, the selected revision will be opened in the main design window. The name of the opened document will be prefixed with the revision number, for example, [Revision 7] Buzzer.SchDoc.

Tips

Double-clicking on a revision in the list will also open that revision within Altium Designer.
