Solution Details

It is impossible to modify the properties of the server item itself directly. This means that the user will need to directly edit a revision, usually the latest, and create the latest revision with the changes to the Name and Description upon release. From the Explorer panel, right-click on the revision and choose the Edit command from the context menu. The editor of the respective server item being edited will be opened. Make any changes to the object as required, then execute a Save to Server command (shortcut: Ctrl+Alt+S).

When saving the revision, the Edit Revision dialog will appear for Components, and the Create Revision dialog will appear for Templates. Both behave the same way, allowing the user to add release notes and modify the name and description of the server item's revision being released to the server.
