- Your company has been in operation no more than 7 years.
- Your company has less than $1M in total revenue to-date.
- Not eligible for companies that previously own Altium Designer.
- Identify how much venture capital, monetary awards your company has raised.
- Your company is designing or plans to design its own physical electronic hardware product.
- Startup program is not eligible for companies that offer design services, engineering services or consultancy services.
Fill out the application in full, your application will be processed in the order in which it was received. If your program inclusion is accepted, your local Altium sales representative will set up some time to connect with you to learn more about your business needs, and see if you are willing to participate in co-marketing programs with Altium. Once your software needs are determined, you will be receiving a formal actionable quote reflective of the startup program pricing.
Within 24 hours after receiving PO or payment
Approved customers may purchase unlimited amount of licenses, as part of the Altium Startup Program.
Acceptable co-marketing activities may include, but not exclusive to; blog post, customer success story, video interview, white paper, inclusion within Altium’s On Track newsletter, Altium sponsored speaker engagement.
The time-based-licenses within the Altium Startup Program will be available with: 12 months, 24 months or 36 months duration.

Through the Startup Program, startups can choose between Perpetual or Time-based Licenses.
Perpetual customer owns the asset which includes a 12 months subscription (maintenance) fee. Any updates including major product releases may be installed during the 12 months period.
Time-based is a per paying for access to full functioning license for (one to three years).
Standalone - gives you a file hosted locally on your machine
Private Server - Allows for multiple users, just not at the same time. The license files are hosted on a server behind your firewall.
On-Demand - Allows for multiple users, just not at the same time. The licenses are hosted on Amazon servers and managed through a dashboard. Can be checked out for up to a year and not have to be connected to the internet.
