Product Specialist - La Jolla, CA, USA
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, Applications Engineer with a passion for customer support and a focus on Schematic/PCB Design, Simulation, and Data Management. Responsible for providing technical assistance to customer and other Application Engineers on Altium products.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Troubleshoot and resolve technical questions and issues
Resolving and documenting installation, licensing and most common asked questions
Respond to dispatched calls as required
Working on and resolving customer issues in a reasonable timeframe as required
Creating and escalating support tickets
Constantly expand technical knowledge by exploring technical content and Altium products
Ability to Mentor and Assist Junior team members
Associate degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer or Mechatronics Engineering required
Knowledge of Electronics Industry strongly desired
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Schematic and PCB Design space in lieu of the preferred Engineering degree
Fluent in English
Good Verbal and Written communication skills *
Background in Technical Support or Customer Service preferred
Ability to Troubleshoot complex issues
Ability to read and follow guides used to resolve common usage issues
Consistent and reliable productivity
Proficiency in MS Office required
Working knowledge of SalesForce preferred
Be driven, self managed, and motivated
Working conditions This job will require very little travel. When not travelling, time will be spent in the office fielding escalations from the technical team, and proactively assisting with the AE team case work.
Physical requirements - There may some lifting required at some locations, carrying training materials into the training room.
