Definition of Propagation Delay
By definition, in relationship to printed circuit boards, propagation delay is the the time it takes a circuit to travel from one pin to another. It is not to be confused with the definition of transmission delay, which is the time it takes a circuit to travel through all of the circuits on a PCB.
