Three variations of the Import Settings dialog

Summary

The Import settings dialog allows users to load or import their preference settings from saved files (*.DXPPrf) or from the cloud.

Access

The dialog is accessed in the following ways:

  • In the Preferences dialog (DXP » Preferences), click Import From then choose one of the available drop down selections.
  • In the Preferences dialog (DXP » Preferences), click Load then Load from cloud
Load from cloud is only available if cloud preferences are enabled. To enable cloud preferences, click the arrow on the right-hand side of the banner near the top of the Preferences dialog, then click Enable cloud preferences

Options/Controls

  • Show/Hide options page list - click to show/hide the Options Page list.
  • Options Page - a list of all preferences areas. 
  • Apply/Import - check the box next to each area to be loaded or imported.
If desired, you can open preference areas to select or not select specific preferences to be loaded or imported.
  • Show pages that are not available to import - check this box to show all pages, including those that are not available for loading or importing.
  • Apply/Import all - check this option to check all Apply/Import boxes.
  • Apply/Import none - check this option to uncheck all Apply/Import boxes.
If you want to load/import all the settings, you can click OK after the dialog opens without opening the options page list.
