Applied Parameters: Mode=NavigatePrevious
Summary
This command is used to navigate to the previous cell containing one or more detected differences, when using Altium Designer's Collaborative PCB Design functionality.
After performing a comparison - from the
Collaborate, Compare and Merge panel - between your own local document and another revision of that document under version control - typically the HEAD revision - any detected differences are presented in a
Difference Map in the panel, and through use of a
Differences Overlay in the main design workspace. To manage the display of differences the board is temporarily divided up into cells. The cell reference is displayed when you hover the cursor over the cell in the
Difference Map in the panel, and is also displayed in a corner of the cell in the main design window.
Access
This command can be accessed from the PCB Editor by:
- Choosing the View » Differences » Navigate Previous Difference command, from the main menus.
- Using the F7 keyboard shortcut.
The command is only available provided a comparison has been initiated through the Collaborate, Compare and Merge panel, and differences have been detected.
Use
After launching the command, the previous cell containing unresolved differences, and that has not been set as checked, will be made the active cell - in both the main workspace, and in the Difference Map region of the Collaborate, Compare and Merge panel. Use the command repeatedly to navigate backward through the unchecked cells containing differences.
Tips
- Use of this command has the same effect as clicking the Previous Unchecked button, in the Difference Map region of the Collaborate, Compare and Merge panel.
-
Cells are navigated in logical order (e.g. D7, B2, A5, A1, and so on), and from the bottom-up in terms of layers on which differences exist.
