Applied Parameters: None
Summary
This command inserts an empty wave plot before the active wave plot.
Access
This command is accessed from the SimData Editor by choosing the Edit » Insert command from the main menus.
Use
First ensure that the required wave plot has been made active in the Waveform Analysis window, at the position immediately below where you wish a new wave plot to be inserted. This is achieved by clicking anywhere within the area of the wave plot.
After launching the command, an empty wave plot will be inserted before this active wave plot.
Tips
- If the Number of Plots Visible option is set to All in the Document Options dialog (Tools » Document Options), the active wave plot is distinguished by a black solid line around its waveform name section. If the Number of Plots Visible option is set to 1, 2, 3, or 4, the active wave plot is distinguished by a black arrow at the left hand side of its display area.
- If the command is launched without having first made an existing wave plot active in the Waveform Analysis window, then an empty wave plot will be added immediately below the last wave plot.
- The SimData Editor's Waveform Analysis window comprises one or more tabs that correspond to the different simulation analyses performed. Each tab contains a chart that can contain multiple wave plots. A wave plot can have multiple waveforms and a waveform represents simulation data collected from a specific point or node in a design.
