Summary
This command is used to unindent selected text, within the current document.
Access
Access to this command can be made in the following ways:
- Choose Tools » Unindent from the main menus.
- Click the button on the Text Utilities toolbar.
Use
Simply select the text that you wish to unindent and launch the command. The selection will be unindented by the number of characters specified in the Block Indent field, on the Text Editors - General page of the Preferences dialog.
Tips
- If the Backspace unindents option is enabled (on the Text Editors - General page of the Preferences dialog) you can unindent using the Backspace key. Simply place the text cursor before the first non-space character on the line to be unindented and press Backspace. The line will unindent, in keeping with the start of new words on the previous line.
