The following pre-packaged resource, derived from this base command, is available:

Applied Parameters: None

This command is used to define a location in the workspace as the new (relative) origin and sets its coordinates to (0,0).

This command can be accessed from the PCB Editor by:

  • Choosing the Edit » Origin » Set command from the main menus.
  • Clicking the  button on the Utility Tools drop-down () of the Utilities toolbar.

After launching the command, the cursor will change to a crosshair and you will be prompted to select the new relative origin. Position the cursor at the required location in the workspace then click or press Enter. This point will be set to coordinate (0, 0) and all objects in the workspace will have their locations updated relative to this point.

  1. To set the relative origin back to the default absolute origin at the extreme lower-left of the document workspace, use the Edit » Origin » Reset command from the main menus.
