Applied Parameters: None

Summary

This command is used to edit the selected schematic symbol in the Schematic Library (*.SchLib) or SVN Database Library (*.SVNDBLib) currently being browsed in the Libraries panel.

Access

When browsing a Schematic Library document in the Libraries panel, this command is accessed by right-clicking in the Components, Model Name, or Supplier regions of the panel then choosing the Edit Component command from the context menu.

When browsing an SVN Database Library document in the Libraries panel, this command is accessed by right-clicking in the Components, Models, or Supplier Links regions of the panel, and choosing the Edit Symbol <SymbolName> command from the context menu.

This command is not available when the component is part of an Integrated Library (*.IntLib), or Database Library (*.DBLib).

Use

After launching the command, the source Schematic Library document will be opened as the active document in the main design window, with the selected component made the active component, ready for editing.


Applied Parameters: Object=Model

Summary

This command is used to edit the selected footprint model currently being browsed in the Libraries panel.

Access

When browsing a Schematic Library document in the Libraries panel, this command is accessed by right-clicking in the Models region of the panel, and choosing the Edit Footprint command from the context menu.

When browsing a PCB Library document in the Libraries panel, this command is accessed by right-clicking in the main region of the panel, and choosing the Edit Footprint command from the context menu.

When browsing an SVN Database Library document in the Libraries panel, this command is accessed by right-clicking in the Models region of the panel, and choosing the Edit Footprint <FootprintName> command from the context menu.

This command is not available when the component is part of an Integrated Library (*.IntLib), or Database Library (*.DBLib).

Use

After launching the command, the source PCB Library document will be opened as the active document in the main design window, with the selected footprint model made the active model, ready for editing.
