Ability to Get a Viewer License (New Feature Summary)

This documentation page references Altium NEXUS/NEXUS Client (part of the deployed NEXUS solution), which has been discontinued. In Altium NEXUS 20.0, the ability has been added to use Altium NEXUS in Viewer mode when signed into your AltiumLive account and no active license is being used. The Altium NEXUS Viewer license can be used by anyone with an AltiumLive account and no other licenses or subscription is needed. 

This new feature is accessible from the License Management page. While signed in to your AltiumLive account and without using an active license, click the Get Viewer License option. Alternatively, if you have no licenses available for your AltiumLive account, click the Get Viewer License button on the License Management page (this button appears in a banner in the middle of the page only when no licenses are available for your AltiumLive account).

This will open the Viewer License Request dialog. Click Create License in the dialog to create a viewer license for your AltiumLive account. The License Management page will update to show that you are using an Altium NEXUS Viewer license.

The license has no expiration date and the subscription date is set to the date of the request for the license. The Altium NEXUS Viewer license is linked to your AltiumLive account and is therefore not accessible from the Dashboard.

Once you have created a Viewer License, the Get Viewer License option is no longer accessible. If at any time you would like to deactivate or remove the Viewer License, contact Altium Customer Support.
