Summary

The State Transition Properties dialog allows designers to edit the properties for a State Transition.

Access

From the Edit Lifecycle Definition dialog, add a State and then click the button next to that state. The dialog can also be accessed by right-clicking in the State Before and Transitions region of the Edit Lifecycle Definition dialog and selecting Add State Transition from the context menu.

Options/Controls

Properties

  • State Transition Name - Specify the name for the State Transition
  • State After - Choose next state from drop-down list
  • Menu Text - This is the text that will appear in the menu in order to perform this state transition for a given item revision. The parameter $RevisionId will be substituted with the ID of the revision

State Transition Permissions

Select either Controlled or Using Approvals from the drop-down list.

  • Controlled - Selecting this option limits permissions based on the default Vault permissions.
  • Using Approvals - Selecting this option allows permissions selected for this specific State Transition, which can be added in the table below. Click the Add button to select an existing User, Role, or Approval group to grant permissions for. Tools to reorder the entities given permissions are also available through the Add button drop-down menu. Click the Remove button to remove a highlighted entity(ies).
