Component Grouping (SCH)

The Component Grouping dialog

Summary

The Component Grouping dialog allows you to group components by any parameter. 

Access

The dialog is accessed from the schematic editor by choosing Design ยป Make Schematic Library from the main menus. If there are components with the same library reference but a different internal structure, this dialog will open.

Options/Controls

  • Parameter Name - column of currently available parameters that can be used for grouping.
  • Check - this column displays a checkbox for each available parameter. Only the checked parameters are used to group components.
  • Defaults - click to restore the dialog to installation defaults.
