The Search for Role dialog.
Summary
The Search For Role dialog allows designers to search for roles within the Vault in order to give permissions to certain roles for specified folders or items. Roles are defined through the DXP App Server's browser-based User Management interface and are essentially specific groupings of users. You may be familiar with this interface as part of the set-up and management of user access to your Altium Vault Server.
Access
From the Permissions For Folder dialog, click the Add Role link at the bottom-left of the dialog.
Options/Controls
- Role Name - Type in the target user name for the search. You can search for users based on their full name or Vault username.
- Search - Click this button to run the search.
- Role - Results matching the search terms are shown here.
