The following pre-packaged resource, derived from this base command, is available:

Applied Parameters: None

Summary

This command is used to delete all characters, up to the beginning of the first word immediately to the right of the current cursor position.

Access

Access to this command is made using the Ctrl+T keyboard shortcut only.

Use

Simply position the text cursor at the required position within the current document and launch the command. The text deleted depends on the starting location of the cursor:

  • If the cursor is at the beginning of a word, or in the middle of a word, all characters to the beginning of the next word will be deleted. The cursor will effectively remain in its original location.
  • If the cursor is at the end of a word, all non-alphanumeric characters will be deleted up to the beginning of the next word.

Using the command repeatedly will delete previous words in the document.

If you have any text selected in the document, using this command will delete text in the same way as above, leaving the selection unaffected.

Tips

  1. The deleted text can be restored using the Undo command.
