The PCB 3D Video dialogThe PCB 3D Video dialog

The PCB 3D Video dialog allows you to choose the PCB 3D video to be rendered, which allows information from the data source to produce and display an image.

The dialog can be accessed in the following ways:

  • From the Project Options - Default Prints dialog  with PCB 3D Video selected under Documentation Outputs, click Configure

  • From the Documentation Outputs section of the Output Job file by right-clicking on the PCB 3D Video output and selecting Configure from the context menu.
For more information about adding and defining an Output job, see the Preparing Multiple Outputs in an OutputJob page.

3D Video Render Options

  •  -  click this button to toggle the display of a shadow effect for the board.
  •  -  click this button to access an instance of the View Configurations - Physical Material Tab to configure how the board is rendered in 3D mode.
If the Project Options - Default Prints dialog was accessed when an OutJob file was the active document, this button is non-functional.
Note that the View Options tab of the View Configuration panel in 3D mode also provides the user with options to control the presentation of the board.
  • Selected 3D Video to Render - use the drop-down to select a 3D video to render (i.e. generate a full-motion video playback).
