The Create New Project From Template dialog

SUMMARY

The Create New Project From Template dialog is used to create a new PCB project file using a template. The new project folder can be created in a preferred location on your hard drive.

ACCESS

This dialog can be accessed by clicking File | New PCB Project.

OPTIONS/CONTROLS

The dialog is divided into two main regions:

• The upper region is a list of available templates with a larger region for template viewing. 
• The lower region includes controls for naming and saving the new project.

Available Templates

This region lists all available templates. Select the desired template from this list and the selected template will appear in the large region of the dialog. You can also select Blank to create a new PCB project without using a template. 

Name

When you select a template, a default name appears in the Name field. If desired, enter a suitable project name.

Location

This is the folder location where the project files will be saved. Enter the location or click

 to browse and select a location for the new project.

Create Project Folder

Check this option to create a sub-folder with the same name as in the Name field. The new project files will be saved in the folder.
