Summary

This command is used to sign in to a managed content server. This is an entity in which all your managed content (unified components, managed projects, managed schematic sheets) is stored.

Access

This command is accessed by clicking the  button, at the top-right of the main application window, then choosing the Sign in entry from the associated menu.

If a user is already signed in to a managed content server, the button will reflect that user (e.g. ). In this case, the Sign in command will not be available, but a Sign out command will be present.

Use

After launching the command, the Sign in to Server dialog will appear, with which to sign in to a target server in which all your managed content (unified components, managed projects, managed schematic sheets) is stored.

Simply enter the URL for the target server's address into the Server Address field, and your server access credentials (User Name and Password), then click the Sign in button.

Tips

1. Once signed into the server, the  button will change to reflect that user (e.g. ). On the associated menu, an entry at the top now presents the name of the server to which you are currently signed in, and its URL. Using the command provides access to browse the content of that server through the Explorer panel.
