Summary

This command is used to visually cycle forward through the available part numbers for a placed multi-part component.

Access

This command is accessed from the Schematic Editor by choosing the Edit » Increment Part Number command from the main menus.

Use

After launching the command, the cursor will change to a cross-hair and you will be prompted to choose a part. Position the cursor over the multi-part component whose part you wish to increment then click or press Enter. The symbol graphic (and designator) will change accordingly to display the next sequential part for that component.

Continue cycling through part numbers for the same or other multi-part components, or right-click or press Esc to exit part increment mode.


Applied Parameters: ContextSensitive=True

Summary

This command is used to visually cycle to the next available part number for the multi-part component currently under the cursor.

Access

This feature is accessed from the Schematic Editor by right-clicking over a placed multi-part component then choosing the Part Actions » Increment Part Number command from the context menu.

Use

First, ensure that the cursor is placed over the multi-part component whose part you wish to increment.

After launching the command, the symbol graphic (and designator) will change accordingly to display the next sequential part for that component.
