The following pre-packaged resource, derived from this base command, is available:

Applied Parameters: None

Summary

This command is used to offset the current selection of objects by a precise amount in X and/or Y directions.

Access

This command can be accessed from the Schematic Editor and the Schematic Library Editor, by:

  • Choosing the Edit » Move » Move Selection by X, Y command from the main menus.
  • Locating and using the Move Selection by X, Y command () on the Active Bar.
If the command has been recently used from the Active Bar, it will become the active/visible button. Where other commands are available, this is indicated by a triangle at the bottom-right corner of the button. Click and hold on the active button to access a menu of all associated commands for that grouping.

Use

First ensure that the objects to be moved using this feature are selected in the design workspace.

After launching the command, the Move Selection by X, Y dialog will appear. Use this dialog to specify delta X and/or delta Y increment values, by which to move the selection. After clicking OK, the selection will be moved accordingly.

Tips

  1. If an object is locked and you try to move it, you will be prompted with a confirmation dialog alerting you to this, and asking if you want to continue.
