SUMMARY

The Convert Device Sheet to Schematic Sheet dialog allows you to convert device sheets to schematic sheets.

ACCESS

The dialog can be accessed from the schematic editor by clicking Edit » Refactor » Convert Selected Device Sheet to Schematic Sheet from the main menus.​

OPTIONS/CONTROLS

  • Target Schematic Sheet Location - by default, the new Schematic Sheet is added to the current project. Click the  button at the end of this field to choose a different target location for the new schematic sheet.

Mode

  • Create schematic sheet from device sheet and update all relevant sheet symbols in the current project - choose to convert the currently selected device sheet symbol to a sheet symbol and create a schematic sheet in the target location. All relevant sheet symbols in the current project are updated. This option is enabled by default.
  • Create schematic sheet from device sheet and update only the current sheet symbol - choose to convert the currently selected device sheet symbol to a sheet symbol and create a new schematic sheet in the target location. The current sheet symbol is updated only.

Additional Options

  • Compile projects(s) after conversion - enable to compile the project after the device sheet is converted. If you have converted sheets in your workspace, all projects in the current workspace will be compiled. 
Your last selection for this compile option is remembered. If you change this option, the new setting is remembered the next time you open the dialog.
