Summary

This dialog allows you to specify the height of a nominated point on a chosen 3D Body, relative to the board surface.

Access

This dialog is accessed in 3D Layout Mode from the PCB or PCB Library editor by clicking Tools » 3D Body Placement » Set Body Height from the main menus then double-clicking on the placed 3D Body.

The current viewing mode can be changed using the corresponding commands from the main View menu.

Options/Controls

  • Original – the current value for the height of the nominated point on the chosen 3D model in relation to the board's surface (top or bottom, depending on the current Board Side of the 3D Body).
  • Board Surface – enable this option to have the nominated point on the chosen 3D model flush with (i.e. set 0 height) the board's surface (top or bottom, depending on the current Board Side of the 3D Body).
  • Custom – enable this option to specify a custom height for the nominated point on the chosen 3D model above (positive value) or below (negative value) the board's surface (top or bottom, depending on the current Board Side of the 3D Body).
