Z2 Data

Z2Data Integration

Altium’s Z2Data integration provides up-to-date part data and risk analysis for confident
part purchases–even with design change or supply chain disruptions.

Accelerate Procurement & Speed Time-to-Market

Vector

Altium streamlines part sourcing by integrating Z2Data part data throughout the product lifecycle. This saves the multidisciplinary team time and resources they would otherwise spend searching for parts and validating their quality.

Quickly Choose Alternate Parts with Confidence

Reliable and Informed Design Choices 2

Z2Data's analysis of diverse data lets teams working in Altium Develop quickly identify alternative parts, using criteria like: availability, time to obsolescence, compliance status, country of origin, and estimated CO2 emissions.

Key Capabilities

Mitigate Risk with a Proprietary Part Scoring Algorithm

Consider critical factors during part selection, including obsolescence projections, compliance status, technology, market availability, and even manufacturer risk with Z2Data's proprietary PCB part-scoring algorithm.

Search for Any Part You Need, From Within Altium

Eliminate the need for multiple external part searches. The data you need for comprehensive electronic supply chain management is integrated directly within your workspace, a constant companion as you manage BOMs.

Reliable Real-Time Data for Your Development Team

Support decision accuracy for all stakeholders who have reliable part information, backed by regular updates and strict integrity protocols. That includes up-to-date part information on lifecycle, pricing, and availability. One team, with reliable data.

Work Without Friction, Within One Workspace

Earlier product development processes forced electronics  teams to grind through grind through friction. They were not built to support true co-creation. Stop toggling between windows and apps, with an integration that fits into your existing PCB design workspace.

FAQs

Is the Z2Data Integration a part of my Altium Develop subscription?

The Z2Data Integration does not come automatically with a subscription to Altium Develop. It can be purchased separately as an add-on. The price is determined by the number of annual unique part queries.

What are unique part queries and how are they counted?

When team members use Z2Data to obtain data for a specific component, it is considered one "part query." Should you need to access the same component's data again within the same annual billing period, it will not count as an additional query. For billing purposes, each unique part is queried just once per year.

During the annual cycle, you'll have continuous access to the data for the parts you've queried, including any updates provided by Z2Data. Once the billing cycle ends, access to the previously retrieved data will be suspended. A new query for the part will be necessary to view the most current data after this point, which will then be counted in the new billing cycle.
