THIS COMPETITION IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW AND IS NOT OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. IT IS OPEN ONLY TO REGISTERED USERS OF ALTIUM 365 IN GOOD STANDING WHO ARE EIGHTEEN (18) (EXCEPT IN ALABAMA AND NEBRASKA 19 AND 21 IN MISSISSIPPI) YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AT THE TIME OF THE COMPETITION AND WHO OTHERWISE QUALIFY UNDER PARAGRAPH 4. ELIGIBILITY (“PARTICIPANTS”)
1. SPONSOR
The sponsor of this Competition is Altium LLC ("Sponsor") with offices at 4225 Executive Square, Level 7, La Jolla, CA 92037.
2. PRIZES
There will be 10 winners for this Competition. Each winner will be given a $500 gift card. The total value of all prizes is $5,000.
The winner is not permitted to substitute the prize for its cash equivalent. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any or all of the prizes with any article or service of similar or greater value at its sole discretion. Prizes may not be assigned or transferred. Any individual winner may refuse to accept the prize
Sponsor is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged gift cards or e-gift card codes. Gift cards provided by merchants may be subject to merchant restrictions and shall not be considered an endorsement or sponsorship of the Competition or of Sponsor by such merchants.
3. HOW TO ENTER .
Participants may enter the Competition by logging into their Altium.com account using a corporate or academic email address. Locate the Competition and design embedded in Altium 365 Web Viewer that is the subject of the Competition. Identify the issues with the embedded design. Complete and submit an application identifying the design issues (“Qualified Submission”). A submission from free or temporary email domains will not be considered a Qualified Submission and will not be considered.
Sponsor will not be responsible for lost, stolen or misdirected Qualified Submissions. The personal information that Participants submit will be subject to Sponsor's privacy policy. For a copy of Sponsor's privacy policy please go to https://www.altium.com/eula.
Illegible, incomplete or inaccurate Qualified Submissions are void. Participants may submit multiple Qualified Submissions. Multiple Qualified Submissions per Participant are permitted, however, the same Qualified Submission submitted with multiple e-mail addresses, under multiple identities or through the use of any free or temporary email domain address to enter multiple times will be deemed invalid.
Sponsor will not be responsible for lost, stolen or misplaced Qualified Submissions or incorrect or inaccurate transcription of Qualified Submission, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access any online service or website, inability to submit the Qualified Submission, or any other error or malfunction, or any injury or damage to Participant’s computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Competition. Qualified Submissions will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holders of the e-mail addresses from which the Qualified Submissions were sent. The authorized email account holder is deemed as the natural Participant who is assigned to a corporate or academic e-mail address by an internet access provider, service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses or the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
4. ELIGIBILITY .
This Competition is open to Participants that meet all of the following criteria:
a. Legal residents of the United States of America and the District of Columbia including Puerto Rico. and its other territories and possessions;
b. Legal residents of Australia, UK, or a country of the European Union;
c. With a corporate or academic e-mail address;
d. With a current and authorized Altium account; and
e. Have attained the age of majority in their state/country of residence.
The following persons are not eligible to participate in or win the Competition:
a. Persons who from and after January 1, 2022 were or are employees or agents of Sponsor or its affiliates, parent, subsidiaries, or the independent contractors of the above organization(s);
b. Persons who are engaged in the development, production, distribution of materials, or drawing of winners for this Competition; and
c. Persons who are immediate family of or who reside in the same household as any person in either of the preceding categories.
5. SELECTION OF WINNER(S)
Ten winners will be selected by representatives of Sponsor as follows:
a. Qualified Submissions that were submitted within the period specified in Paragraph 6. Schedule and correctly identify all ten of the design issues in the embedded design that is the subject of this Competition and were submitted within the period specified in Paragraph 6. Schedule will be identified and Sponsor will select winners at random from that identified group of Submissions.
The winners will be selected on or about ________. The winners will be notified within 10 days after the selection by e-mail. In the event that the Sponsor cannot reach any winners within three (3) days after it attempts to notify all winners, Sponsor will select a new winner(s) according to these rules. Additionally, if a winner is ineligible, it will be deemed as if the winner has rejected the prize, and Sponsor will select a new winner. Sponsor's decision will be final and binding in all respects.
6. SCHEDULE
The Competition begins on or about Monday, ________ and ends on Friday, __________. All Qualified Submissions must be received by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
7. ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS
a. Sponsor reserves the right to terminate, suspend or modify this Competition if:
i. fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Sponsor's reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Competition; or
ii. there is any violation of law or regulation;
as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.
b. At its sole discretion, Sponsor may disqualify any Participant whom it considers to have intentionally violated the Official Rules or any element of this Competition. By participating, Participants agree: (a) to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor who select the winners, and (b) to release and hold harmless Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, and independent contractors, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents, including advertising and Competition agencies, from any and all liability with respect to acceptance, possession or use (or misuse) of the prizes or participation in the Competition.
c. Except where prohibited by law, winner agrees to permit Sponsor to use his/her name, address, city, state, photograph, videotape or any likeness for advertising or publicity purposes for no additional compensation.
d. The names and logos of Sponsor are registered trademarks and may not be used without written permission.
e. Participation in the Competition and/or submission of Qualified Submission(s) is not a guarantee that coverage will be quoted or bound.
8. TAXES
Taxes (federal, state, and local) are the sole responsibility of any winner. Sponsor does not provide tax advice. Winners are encouraged to contact their own tax advisor regarding potential tax implications, if any, of this Competition.
9. WINNERS LIST
For the name of the prize-winner(s), available after ________, please send a separate, self-addressed stamped envelope to Altium LLC, PCB Design Competition - List of Winners, 4225 Executive Square, Level 7, La Jolla, CA 92037. Residents of Washington and Vermont may omit return postage.

11. DISCLAIMER
Sponsor is not responsible for printing or typographical errors in these Official Rules or in any Competition-related materials. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual that tampers with the entry process. Sponsor also reserves the right to terminate, suspend, cancel or modify the Competition and award the prizes for the Competition from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received (i) as of the date of termination using the judging procedure outlined above if for any reason this Competition is not capable of running as planned due to any reason, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, fraud, unauthorized intervention, technical failures or other causes that may corrupt or impair the integrity, fairness or proper play of the Competition. Sponsor are not responsible or liable for any events which may cause errors and/or the Competition to be stopped, including but not limited to any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, nor are they responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone, network or telephone lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or cable, satellite, or Internet Service Providers, computer equipment, software or any other failure of any email or entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to your or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in this Competition or downloading any materials in this Competition. Sponsor are not responsible for computer, mechanical, technical, electronic, network or other errors or problems, including any errors or problems that may occur in connection with the administration of the Competition, the processing of Entries, or in any other Competition-related materials. Sponsor may stop you from participating in this Competition if you violate Official Rules or act, in Sponsor’s sole discretion: (a) in a manner Sponsor determines to be not fair; (b) with an intent to annoy, threaten or harass any other entrant or the Sponsor; or (c) in any other disruptive manner. Should more prizes be awarded through a computer, hardware, or software malfunction, error or failure, or for any other reason, in any prize category, than are stated for that category in the Official Rules, Sponsor reserves the right to award only the number of prizes stated in the Official Rules for that category. In no event will more prizes be awarded than that listed in the Official Rules.
CAUTION: ANY ACT OR ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS COMPETITION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES) FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL(S) TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
12. DISPUTES/ APPLICABLE LAW
By participating in this Competition, each Participant agrees that: (a) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Competition or any prizes awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate courts located in the state of California, U.S.A.; (b) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Competition but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (c) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with this Competition, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the state of California, U.S.A. without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the state of California, U.S.A. or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the state California, U.S.A..
