Bimasakti Racing Team is the first ever student formula team established in and represented by Indonesia in an international student formula competition. Our team was established on November 26th, 2010 and launched the first student formula car In 2011. We competed in student formula held by SAE (Society of Automotive Engineering) of Japan, Australia, india, Netherlands, Italy, and Spain. The competition itself is one of the biggest race car design events in the world for university students. Teams participating in the competition must design, simulate and produce formula cars, analyze costs incurred during the process, and create a business plan that abides by the regulations set by SAE international. Within the decade, Bimasakti attempts to contribute to the research field and has been awarded in one of many prestigious international competitions.
"Altium’s sponsorship has been essential as we develop BM-14, our first hybrid-powered race car. The shift from combustion to hybrid requires more advanced electrical systems, especially for battery management and control units."
