SUFST

SUFST is a student-run organisation within Southampton University with the aim to design, build, and compete with single-seater race cars in Formula Student competitions. SUFST is built on enthusiasm and passion, and it is why our team is comprised of students with a mixture of cultural and academic backgrounds. Every department within the team is filled with dedicated and determined personnel of all abilities.

Having an Altium sponsorship has provided significant benefits to our team by giving us access to industry-standard PCB design tools. The software has enabled us to design more complex and reliable electronics, streamline our development workflow, and identify potential design issues before manufacturing. Altium has also improved collaboration between our mechanical and electrical design teams by allowing us to better account for mechanical design constraints throughout the PCB development process. This has helped us identify integration challenges earlier and improve the overall quality and reliability of our systems. Additionally, team members have gained valuable experience using professional engineering software that is widely adopted throughout the industry.
