Team Automatons

We are Team Automatons, the official Robotics Research and Development team of PCET's Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCoE), Pune, India. Our team is driven by passionate undergraduate students from diverse engineering disciplines, united by a common goal to push the boundaries of robotics.

Every year, we represent our college and nation at prestigious international and national competitions such as the ABU Robocon and the International Rover Challenge (IRC). Alongside competitions, we actively contribute to the student community by conducting workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives, helping aspiring engineers explore and innovate in the field of robotics.

Altium Designer’s unique capabilities allow our team to move from schematic to PCB layout to fabrication outputs seamlessly. Altium’s 3D visualization and MCAD integration capabilities allowed us to ensure that our boards fit well into compact robotic assemblies without having to go through multiple prototype parts for fit checks. In addition, the routing capabilities, such as rule-driven routing and signal integrity tools, provided greater reliability of our high-speed control circuits, which are crucial in robotics applications. And with ActiveBOM and supply chain integration, we were able to design with components that were relevantly available and cost-effective, minimizing the risk of a rollout delay due to sourcing issues. Altium 365 cloud collaboration capabilities provided an easy way for geographically diverse members to work collaboratively together and review designs in real time.
